About Your Elementary Teacher

Monteverde, Costa Rica

Hello!  My name is Jen DiMaggio, and I am the Elementary teacher for Estacada Web Academy.  This is my fourth year working for EWA, and I am excited to be your main contact for questions about K-6 curriculum and field trips.  Some of my responsibilities will be to communicate regularly with students and parents; to monitor and offer support to students using the K-2 Calvert and Saxon curriculum; to grade all OdysseyWare courses for all 3-6 grade students; to perform reading, writing, math assessments with students (including state assessments).

Just to tell you a bit about myself, I love to spend time with my family whenever possible.  I enjoy outdoor activities, especially those that I can do with my brothers and dog, including hiking, running, and biking.  I also love to read and am a huge fan of Dr. Seuss and Roald Dahl.  I had the great privilege of leading a group of students to Costa Rica in July 2010, which combined two of my favorite things--education and travel!
